WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL PATTERS?
Functional Patterns is a postural training and correction method based on human biomechanics , created to help you move better , reduce pain , and prevent injuries.
Unlike conventional fitness, it doesn't focus on isolated muscles or lifting heavier weights, but rather on re-educating your body as an integrated system , following the most important movement patterns in our evolution: standing, walking, running, and throwing.
This approach combines corrective exercises , myofascial release, core training, and lifestyle adjustments to achieve a more balanced, strong, and efficient body. Functional Patterns has already helped tens of thousands of people around the world eliminate chronic pain , improve their posture, and regain confidence in their movement.
Ultimately, it's much more than a workout: it's a way to reprogram your body to function as it should, allowing you to live with more freedom, energy, and long-term health.

ABOUT ME
I'm Manuel Egea, a graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences with a Master's degree in Strength Training . I've been working as a personal trainer for over 18 years, and I've also spent eight years advising on fitness and well-being for the Avon Fire and Rescue Service (UK).
Sports have always been my passion. I've trained consistently since I was young, and throughout my career, I've immersed myself in different disciplines such as CrossFit, weightlifting, powerlifting, and martial arts (brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu).
However, after years of this type of training, I developed chronic neck pain that plagued me for a long time and limited my daily life.
That's when I discovered Functional Patterns . After starting to work with a trainer specializing in this method, my chronic pain disappeared within a few weeks. This experience completely transformed my understanding of training and motivated me to train in this methodology.
Today, my mission is clear: to help people with chronic pain and other conditions regain movement, live pain-free, and achieve full health. Functional Patterns didn't just change my body; it changed my life. And now I want to share it with you.
MY APPROACH
The path to overcoming your chronic pain begins with a free in-person appointment or video call. During this initial meeting, we'll discuss your current situation and assess whether this approach is right for you. This consultation will allow us to get to know you better and understand how Functional Patterns can help you improve your health and quality of life.
If you decide to start working with us, your first initial session will consist of a complete postural assessment and an analysis of your gait pattern to detect imbalances and compensations that may be causing your pain. We will also perform muscle activation testing to identify which muscles are overworked and which are not firing properly.
From there, we'll guide you through a series of personalized corrective exercises designed to help you experience immediate improvements in your posture, stability, and movement. Finally, we'll establish an initial action plan tailored to your needs and goals, with a clear roadmap to recovery and progress.
👉 Sessions can be either in person at our center or online , so you can benefit from this method wherever you are.
